Auto or user-defined barcodes, printed on laser or barcode printers.
Every item carries a barcode - either auto-generated by the system or defined by you to match an existing scheme. Labels print on a standard laser printer or a dedicated barcode printer, and in a chain the barcoding can be centralised at the warehouse so every store scans the same code.
